The average household size was 2.89 and the average family size was 3.17.
In the village the population was spread out with 31.5% under the age of 18, 2.4% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 24.4% from 45 to 64, and 17.5% who were 65 years of age or older. - The postal service does not deliver mail to homes in Golf. Residents have to pick up their mail at the local post office.
- Golf lacks its own library, fire department, park district, and school districts. These services are provided by Glenview-based districts and departments, with the exception of library services.
- Golf Police are known to catch speeders going one to two miles over the speed limit, and patrol late at night by the park.
