George London (1681-1714) was an English nurseryman and Garden Designer . He aspired to the baroque style and worked on the gardens at Hampton Court , Melbourne Hall and Wimpole Hall . George London's birth date is not certain but it was probably about 1640. The date given above is the date he began his partnership with Henry Wise (1653 - 1738) in the famed Brompton Nursery. |
