The is the home stadium of
Vitesse in the city of
Arnhem in the
Netherlands . It was built in
1998 , featuring a retractable roof as well as a convertible pitch that can be retracted when unused during concerts or other events held at the stadium although its capacity was rather modest with only 32,500 spectators at most and 39.000 with concerts. The climate control system is very advanced and the stadium is friendly to the environment. It was also one of the various venues for the
Euro 2000 tournament held in the
Netherlands and
Belgium . It replaced the
Monnikenhuize .
There is parking space for 4,000 cars and there is a quick bus connection with the central station. In the stadium is a spacious promenade with many vendors selling beverages, snacks and merchandising articles.
The stadium regularly hosts pop-concerts, e.g.:
