The Garnet A. Wilson Public Library has served the citizens of Pike County, Ohio since 1939 , when it was originally founded as the Pike County Free Public Library . From 1939 to 1978, the library was part of Waverly High School . In 1978 , the Library was moved to to North High Street in Waverly . Finally, in 1985 , the library was moved to the present location at 207 North Market Street in Waverly . The location of the main branch was donated by J. B. Wilson. Mr. Wilson requested that the library be known as the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library of Pike County, in honor of his wife. Subsequently, three other branches have opened to fulfill the informational needs of the area. These branches are located in Beaver , Piketon , and on State Route 124 to serve the western areas of Pike County . EXTERNAL LINKS |
