Gabriel Sarkisyan ( Armenian Գաբրիել Ազատի Սարգսյան, other Transcription s of the name are ''Sarkissian'' and ''Sarkissyan,'' the Transliteration is ''Gabriel Sargsyan;'' born 03 February 1983 ) is an Armenian Chess Player and International Grandmaster of Chess. The FIDE lists him as '''Gabriel Sargissian'''.

He won the Armenian Chess Championship in 2000 and 2003. Also, he was victorious at the tournaments of Reykjavik (2006) and Dubai (2006). After this he took the first place at the 37th Chess Olympiad (together with Levon Aronian , Vladimir Akopian , Karen Asrian , Smbat Lputian , and Artashes Minasian ).
