ARTIFACTS The world's oldest footwear on record was discovered at Fort Rock Cave in 1938 by Luther Cressman from the University Of Oregon .23 The Sagebrush bark sandals have been Radiocarbon Dated to approximately 9,000 - 10,000 years ago.4 Several other prehistoric artifacts have been found at Fort Rock Cave, including basketry and stone and rock tools.5 REFERENCES EXTERNAL LINKS |
