is a
Railway Station that serves the
Fenny Stratford area of
Milton Keynes . It is located on the
Bletchley -
Bedford Marston Vale line.
The station is served by
Silverlink County local services from Bletchley to Bedford. Services are operated using
Class 150/1 Diesel Multiple Unit s. This station is one of the five stations serving
Milton Keynes . The others are
Wolverton ,
Milton Keynes Central ,
Bletchley and
Bow Brickhill .
Fenny Stratford Station is currently un-staffed, with no ticketing facilities. Passengers are required to purchase tickets from Silverlink staff on-board. Immediately to the west after the bridge carrying the V4 Watling Street (formerly the A5) there are
Points connecting with a branch leading onto the freight only Oxford line via the Bletchley
Flyover . The passenger line and station are protected here by
Trap Point s, however they are badly sited and any runaway train caught by it would subsequently crash into the bridge.
Fenny Stratford has a black and white station building now in private ownership. The building is one of a number like it on the line but unlike any anywhere else. Until the mid 1960s, Fenny Stratford had two platforms and a number of
Sidings , however all that is now present is a single platform and a lot of wasteland to the east of the station before the
Level Crossing . The
Signal Box here was taken out of use in 2004.
