Entre Douro e Vouga is a NUTS3 Portuguese subregion integrated in the NUTS2 region Norte . Its name stands for the fact that it covers an area between the '''rivers Douro''' and '''Vouga'''. It is bordered in the north by the subregion of Grande Porto and Tâmega and in the south by the Centro region. It is assumed that the whole Entre Douro e Vouga is part of Greater Metropolitan Area Of Porto . It has a total surface area of 858 km&2 (the third smallest) and a population of 283,856 inhabitants for a density of 330 hab/km&2. The main urban centres are Santa Maria Da Feira (pop. 115,000) and Oliveira De Azeméis (pop. 35,000) and São João Da Madeira .
