He changed his name by deed poll to Dominic Brian Chad in 1998, due to his fixation with the now deceased Rolling Stones guitarist Brian Jones . 'Chad' (as he is often referred) is a talented Arranger and Songwriter , having co-written several of Mansun's Song s with Paul Draper , as well as writing and performing a number of B-sides himself. After the release of '' Six '' rumour spread of a Solo Album , which was provisionally entitled 'Parrot'. It never saw the light of day, apparently due to the bad press the band were already receiving from influential music paper, NME . Mansun fans consoled themselves with a taster of the 'Parrot' sessions, appearing on '' Kleptomania ''. There were plans for the rest of the 'Parrot' sessions to be released within the next two years. Chad also took lead vocals on some of Mansun's songs, most notably "Golden Stone", a B-side to "I Can Only Disappoint U". EXTERNAL LINKS |
