Division Of Kingston

ABOUT THE ELECTORATE

The division is named after Charles Cameron Kingston , a Premier Of South Australia ( 1893 - 1899 ), elected to the first House Of Representatives in 1901 and the first Federal member of the Division Of Adelaide in 1903 . The division, currently held by Kym Richardson for the Liberal Party Of Australia , is a key marginal in the upcoming Australian Legislative Election , with a margin of only 0.1%. Richardson will be challenged by Labor candidate and psychologist Amanda Rishworth and Australian Democrats candidate Matthew Fowler at the 2007 Federal Election . (See also Candidates Of The Australian General Election, 2007 )

A July 2007 poll in The Advertiser newspaper showed that Rishworth led Richardson by a margin of 57% to 43%. {Link without Title}
