Development Minister Of Israel




The Development Minister of Israel (, ''Sar HaPituakh'') was a Ministerial position in the Israeli Cabinet from 1953 until 1974. In 1977 it was succeeded by the new position of Minister Of Energy And Infrastructure .

However, since 1992 rural development has fallen under the responsibilities of the Minister Of Agriculture , whilst a new post, Minister for Development of the Negev and Galilee was created in 2006.

The development ministry was responsible for government-owned mineral extraction companies and the country's Geology institute. The department also set up both the quarry rehabilitation fund and the Dead Sea Works .

There was one Deputy Minister of Development, who served from 1966 until 1969.
