Countesthorpe Community College is on the outskirts of the village. Members of Kasabian attended the college. The village currently lies on two bus routes. The Arriva Number 85 that runs from South Wigston through to Leicester City Centre via Countesthorpe and is the only bus that goes to the city centre from the village.
