Corbin City is a City in Atlantic County , New Jersey , USA . As of the United States 2000 Census , the city population was 468. Corbin City was incorporated as a city by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 11 , 1922 , from portions of Weymouth Township ."The Story of New Jersey's Civil Boundaries: 1606-1968", John P. Snyder, Bureau of Geology and Topography; Trenton, New Jersey; 1969. p. 68. GEOGRAPHY Corbin City is located at (39.301631, -74.753957). According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 23.3 Km&2 (9.0 Mi&2 ). 20.4 km&2 (7.9 mi&2) of it is land and 2.8 km&2 (1.1 mi&2) of it (12.24%) is water. DEMOGRAPHICS
As of the Census of 2000, there were 468 people, 172 households, and 120 families residing in the city. The Population Density was 22.9/km&2 (59.3/mi&2). There were 204 housing units at an average density of 10.0/km&2 (25.9/mi&2). The racial makeup of the city was 94.02% White , 2.78% African American , 0.85% Native American , 1.28% Asian , 0.64% from Other Races , and 0.43% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.99% of the population. There were 172 households out of which 37.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.4% were Married Couples living together, 8.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.7% were non-families. 22.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.72 and the average family size was 3.21. In the city the population was spread out with 29.9% under the age of 18, 4.9% from 18 to 24, 29.3% from 25 to 44, 25.4% from 45 to 64, and 10.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 98.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.0 males. The median income for a household in the city was $47,083, and the median income for a family was $56,000. Males had a median income of $35,938 versus $27,250 for females. The Per Capita Income for the city was $21,321. None of the families and 4.9% of the population were living below the Poverty Line , including no under eighteens and 17.0% of those over 64. Corbin City is the smallest city in New Jersey. While there are smaller municipalities, they are either boroughs, townships, and a village.
