"Cartoon Network Invaded" was a special Crossover event that aired on Cartoon Network in the United States on May 4 , 2007 .


SHOWS


Invaded progresses in a continuing storyline that spans five Cartoon Network cartoons:
  • ''Chapter 1: "'';

  • ''Chapter 2: "'';

  • ''Chapter 3: "'';

  • ''Chapter 4: "'';

  • ''Chapter 5: "'';


The event concluded with an alien-themed marathon that began the Cartoon Network Summer programming schedule on May 28 , 2007 and June 1 , 2007 with the alternate ending.


BUMPERS

In Commercial Bumper s that first began on April 30 , 2007 - May 28 , 2007 , three aliens behind Cartoon Network Invaded have been named. The three eyed, blue muscular alien is called Glog, the skinny, lanky green-yellow alien is named Peaches and the short, red football headed alien called Sklrrvss (Sklarviss is the pronunciation).


TRIVIA



  • On May 28 and on June 1 , they aired in the style of a mini-series. None of the regular intros were shown (opening credits were supplied by the CN Invaded intro), and closing credits of each episode weren't shown until during the ending of the Billy and Mandy episode.


  • The aliens have shown up in bumps during the Miguzi block.


  • According to ''"That Darn Platypus"'' and ''"Cheese Orbs"'', the aliens have teleportation powers.


  • Both ''"That Darn Platypus"'' and ''"The Eds Are Coming! The Eds Are Coming!"'' mention that the aliens have heat vision.


  • In "Cheese A Go Go" the alien in the movie was actually 3 separate aliens if you look closely in the background of the theater scene.


  • Also in "Cheese A Go Go, if you look closely into the movie, the aliens do what the aliens on "Strange Trout From Outer Space" did when they showed Samson how they reacted to fiddle music.


  • The ending of ''"Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon"'' reveals that the aliens sent agents to watch over the humans, including Plank, Rick Platypus, Fred (from Camp Lazlo), Puddin', and others (this is most likely only a joke and not canon). The aliens also abducted all the complete idiots from the other shows, Cheese, Fred Fredburger (even though he never actually appeared in Billy & Mandy Moon the Moon), Skip (or Chip), Ed, and Slips. They also mention the name of the operation that started in ''"Strange Trout From Outer Space"'' called "Let's get some cheese!" They also mention the Towel Billy used and the resistance of the "wedgie maneuver" and that they are weak against it.


  • In ''"The Eds Are Coming! The Eds Are Coming!"'' when Nazz was tied to the light post and mailbox, the flag is on the side opposite Nazz, but in the scene when Rolf returned Ed's clothes, the flag was on the side Nazz was tied to.


  • Nazz being tied to the mailbox and lightpost is a reference to King Kong when Ann Darrow was being sacrificed to King Kong by the inhabitants of Skull Island.


  • At the end of the last chapter (and during it) Many cameos of characters from different chapters can be seen (drawn either in their original style or in the Billy and Mandy art style).


  • After the initial run, several episodes of Courage The Cowardly Dog were run, all of which had to do with alien birds (chickens, ducks).



  • The title screen of "The Eds are Coming!", has the title as "The Eds are Coming, the Eds are Coming!" the correct version is probably the latter, though the former is in all info related sections.


  • "Strange Trout From Outer Space/Cheese Orbs" was broadcast as a regular episode on May 31 , 2007 with a normal intro and the episode name in quotes at the beginning of the episodes.


  • In "That Darn Platypus", a news article was shown about the Ed's Cul-De-Sac being taken away.


  • The new ending for ''Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon'' shows the aliens realizing they can use the cheese from their armpits to rebuild the moon. When they do so, the cheese that they stand in is spray cheese, and that they sink into it quickly. Next to where they sit, is the Moon Base from KND. Numbah one smells cheese, and Numbah two says "I didn't cut it!" This is an obvious reference to the Billy and Mandy/KND crossover. This also suggests that the KND coexist with the other shows.



RUNNING GAGS


  • A first running gag was that the Aliens, or objects resembling or alluding to them, have been shown in the chapters aired. They have three eyes, are octopus-like in appearance, have shape-shifting powers, It is possible that the appearance of the aliens are based on the Martians from The War Of The Worlds or the Yolkians from Jimmy Neutron . The appearances are as follows;

    • # The brainsucking alien in the movie Bloo sees in "Cheese-a-Go-Go"

# The octopus on Rolf's head and on one of Ed's comic books in "The Eds Are Coming! The Eds Are Coming!"
# Rick's alien costume in "That Darn Platypus"
# The alien's robot that the aliens used to re-enter their spaceship in "Strange Trout from Outer Space"/"Cheese Orbs"
# The aliens that abduct Billy and Sperg in "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon".

  • A second running gag among the episodes is that everyone seems to think that these aliens are "brain suckers":

    • # Bloo believes Cheese is a brain sucking alien just like in the movie he saw about brain sucking aliens in "Cheese-a-Go-Go".

# In "The Eds are Coming! The Eds Are Coming!", while the kids of the Cul-De-Sac are attacking Rolf's house, Eddy warns Ed that the aliens will suck Ed's brain out.
# Rick Platypus, whom everyone believes is an alien, keeps mentioning that he likes "brain juice" in "That Darn Platypus". It is revealed at first that the Brain Juice he mentions is really just fruit juice.
# In "Strange Trout from Outer Space", when Samson was in the aliens space ship, he thought they were going to suck his brain out. Though it turns out, they only wanted cheese.
# At the end of the episode the aliens sucked 5 characters from each chapter (All the ditzy ones: Fred Fredburger, Skip, Ed, Cheese, and Slips). It is revealed that the Brain Juice in the "My Gym Partner's a Monkey" episode is in fact juice from an actual brain.

  • A third running gag in the series is that all of the episodes have an extremely similar UFO in them.

    • # The one in "Cheese-a-Go-Go" can be seen on a movie poster in the movie theater scene.

# The one in "The Eds are Coming" can be seen in the end lifting the Cul-De-Sac into space (oddly enough, later spaceships are only big enough to abduct individual people).
# The one briefly seen in the AV room scene and on the cover of Winsor's magazine in "That Darn Platypus"
# The one the aliens were on in "Strange Trout from Outer Space / Cheese Orbs"
# The majority of the alien ships in "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon".

  • A fourth running gag is that all the episodes have reference to cheese.

    • # Cheese goes and communicates with the aliens in "Cheese-a-Go-Go".

# In "The Eds are Coming!", Ed's weird alien sayings have references to cheese, and when he crashed in the playground, he was in what appeared to be a giant wheel of cheese.
# At one point in "That Darn Platypus", Adam says "Who cut the cheese?" and Rick asks him if he wants some cheese.
# The aliens in "Strange Trout from Outer Space / Cheese Orbs" are on a mission to find cheese.
# The aliens wants cheese in "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon" They also repeat the word "Cheese" like in "Cheese a-Go-Go", with the same distorted voice.

  • A fifth running gag is they all have something to do with morphing.

    • # Bloo thinks Cheese is an alien agent in disguise

# Ed jumps on Edd saying "I can see through your disguise creature from beyond the stars!"
# Rick morphs into his true form when he's done pretending
# The three aliens morph into three background characters
# There is a slug-like alien in "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon" that can turn into a bigger, much more powerful alien. The aliens also turn into werewolves in the episode.

  • A sixth running gag in the series involves the boxes Frankie delivered in "Cheese a Go Go." She may have delivered the boxes to one character from each of the other shows in the series, due to the fact that all of these episodes exist in the same universe.

    • Purple Box: Found under Jimmy's bed in "The Eds are Coming." It contained what appeared to be muffins, but Sarah said it was ''Billy bomb Bon-Bons ''.


Red Box: Slips and Jake look at it in "That Darn Platypus." It was a box of detergent.

Green Box: Clam is seen holding it in "Strange Trout from Outer Space." It's contents were never revealed.

Blue Box: Billy's toy receives it in the end of "Billy and Mandy Moon the Moon." It had a sweater with a heart stitched on it.

Outer Space Trace

Its the first game of the 5 Cartoon Network Invaded games that exist on CartoonNetwork.Com.
This is based in the episode " Cheese A Go-Go " of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends .
Its a game of where you have to trace stars as they appear on the screen and you can gain combos making more points.
Shooting Stars make 1000 points but you have to grab as most stars to fill in the star bar in the amount of time that it is needed.

Toy Twister

Its the second game of the 5 Cartoon Network Invaded games that exist on CartoonNetwork.Com.
This is based in the episode " The Eds Are Coming " of Ed, Edd N Eddy .
Its a game where toys fall from the sky by UFO's and the Eds capture the toys for cash. Throughout 10 levels the player must capture the number acquired of toys to pass to the next level, starting in Level 1 with 5 toys and to Level 10 with 25 toys. It is also possible to collect junk but that will make the player lose money.

Lighten Up

Its the third game of the 5 Cartoon Network Invaded games that exist on CartoonNetwork.Com.
This is based in the episode " That Darn Platypus " of My Gym Partner's A Monkey .
The object of the game is to help Jake stop Rick Platypus from placing lights on the football field that will call the aliens. To do that, you must tackle him and grab all the lights while he is unconscious. You must watch out for other animals in the way as well. Once you have collected all the lights, Rick will give up and you will move to the next level.

Beaned

Its the fourth game of the 5 Cartoon Network Invaded games that exist on CartoonNetwork.Com.
This is based in the episodes " Strange Trout From Outer Space / Cheese Orbs " of Camp Lazlo .
The objective of the game is to hit the aliens with dodgeballs and avoiding. The bombs or red dark dodgeballs will make the aliens lose a big amount of its health if its hit 2 or 3 times in a row. Careful, they might do the same thing to you.

Magnetface

This is the fifth or last game of the 5 Cartoon Network Invaded games that exist on CartoonNetwork.Com.
This is based in the episode " Billy And Mandy Moon The Moon " of The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy .
Billy was captured by aliens and now must collect 200 cheeses in all 3 levels to escape the deadly alien claws. Luckily, Grim has added magneticism to Billy and can be able to make the player to attract Billy to magnetic boxes, bombs, accesses and elevations. The player must attract boxes to activate switches for different parts of the level. Bombs are also available but, make the player lose more life. Every time Billy passes through a checkpoint he’ll return to the previous one if he loses his life and he is transported through what it seems to be a like a hologram. Deadly scissor-like machines will make you lose more life once you are magnetically transport by a magnetic access.

Code: PYGNARTO – It means you won the Billy and Mandy wallpaper:
HORRIFYING! WITNESS THE UNSPEAKABLE! BILLY AND MANDY ENCOUNTER THE SPACE INVADERS

Unfortunately, the game Magnetface was only able to appear after the Alternative Ending that occurred in June 1 , 2007 .
Now the games can only be seen as normal games but to access the passwords go to the Invaded Mini Site at the Invaded Mini-Site at CartoonNetwork.Com .
