Lombardozzi, though only a '' Caporegime '' (lieutenant), allegedly ran the entire Gambino Shylock and Stock Market Racket s. he brought his nephews Daniel Marino and George Lombardozzi into the crime family with his nephew Daniel reaching Caporegime and controlling his uncle's crew. Carl Sifakis, ''The Mafia Encyclopedia'', (Facts on File, 2005), p.271 He attended the infamous Apalachin Meeting in November 1957 , where he was arrested along with many other high profile mobsters.
