}} Brian Glencross OAM (born May 1 , 1941 in Narrogin, Western Australia ) is a retired field hockey player from Australia , who won the bronze medal with the Men's National Team at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan . Four years later, when Mexico City hosted the Games, he was a member of the team, that captured the silver medal. As a player he represented Australia from 1964-74, played in 93 games. After his active career Glencross became a hockey coach. He guided the Australian Women's Hockey Team at three Summer Olympics, starting in 1984 . In 1988 the team won the golden medal under his guidance. He was succeeded by his former team mate Ric Charlesworth . Glencross was inducted in the Australian Hall of Fame in 1991 . |
