Big Electric Cat is the name of an Australian Gothic Rock band. The original line-up consisted of '''Paul Sadler''', '''David Block''' and '''Deborah Denton'''. Their most popular tracks include '''Paris Skyes''' and '''Eyelash'''. BIOGRAPHY Paul Sadler moved from the UK to Sydney , Australia . It was, however not until 1993 that Sadler joined forces with David Block and Deborah Denton and the band was born. The band was originally a 5-piece which included a live drummer but after a short period, their live drummer was dropped in favour of a drum machine named Dr. Ruth. The bands first demo was titled Susperia. After the release of this, the band was immediately taken up by the label Cleopatra Records for a three-album contract. The bands first full album was titled Dreams of a Mad King and was released in 1994. This album contains the song ''Paris Skyes'' which has, since its release, become a hit in many goth clubs across the US and Europe. The second release by the band was the seven track remix EP Burning Embers, this EP contained no new material and was released in October 1995. The third release by the band is ''Eyelash''', released in August 1997. Eyelash includes the track ''Splinters'', another incredible popular song by the band. These albums allowed the band to go on several successful tours across the UK and Europe. It is difficult to tell what actually happened to a band which enjoyed such an incredible amount of popularity across the US, Europe and Australia but it seems that they just vanished into thin air, it is nearly impossible to find any articles regarding what actually happened to them after the release of their final album.
