Many jokes have been made about the ''Beyond'' portion of the Bed Bath & Beyond name:
- The Fox animated Sitcom '' Family Guy '' has several Bed Bath & Beyond jokes, which often revolve around working in or browsing on the ''Beyond'' portion of the store. One of the jokes involves Peter Griffin walking through an unmarked door with a "Beyond" section. When he walks through, he falls into a black space with scientific equations in the background. At the end, he finds some coffee mugs.
- Bed Bath & Beyond is mentioned in the satirical song "'' as one of the better things about the United States (although it receives a less enthusiastic response than other brand names such as Gap and McDonald's ).
- In the Fox animated Sitcom '' Futurama '', there is one scene in the episode " Raging Bender " where Bender (after losing his last match in a robot fighting tournament) receives a Gift Certificate to Bed Bath & Beyond as a consolation prize.
- Bed Bath & Beyond is sometimes included in the Food Network television show '' Good Eats ''. Alton Brown visits a BBB location and gathers useful gadgets.
- The "Beyond" department is also used in Adam Sandler and Christopher Walken 's 2006 comedy film '' Click ''. In this case, the door marked "Beyond" leads to a workshop helmed by Walken, with a door marked "Way Beyond" leading way to a massive storage unit, which contained the Universal Media Remote that he was looking for. Ironically, Sandler's character asked if there were any Universal Media Remotes, but there weren't.
- In '' The Simpsons '' episode " The Cartridge Family ," Homer buys a Handgun at the "Bloodbath and Beyond" gun shop. Also in the episode " Simpsons Tall Tales " in the story "Tom and Huck" Tom Sawyer (played by Bart ) and Huckleberry Finn (played by Nelson ) buy products from a store called "Pelts Pones & Beyond" which was run by Apu .
- Also, Season 4, episode 7 of '' Will & Grace '' is entitled "Bed, Bath & Beyond." In the episode, Grace is coping with breaking up with Nathan, and her friends try to get her out of her bed.
- In 2001, a New York-based Hard Rock band relocated to New Jersey, changing its name to "Bloodbath & Beyond," referring to the fact that Bed, Bath and Beyond is also based in that state. In 2005, a punk rock rock band from various parts of America formed under the same name, possibly as a Simpsons reference rather than a deliberate allusion to the store.
