Information About

Barry Diamond

His first band in the late 1950s was "Big Tony Laurie and the Original Classics", with Carr being Big Tony. Barry was the focus of an article in the Sheffield Telegraph , covering the time when the band turned down the opportunity of playing with Beatles .

Barry had the privilege of performing with other Sheffield greats such as Joe Cocker .

Barry went on to form Midnight Hour and Diamond Jack , both rock bands touring the North of England. The band included the guitarist and now producer Pete Bangert who is still delivering British rock music through his label Rising Records .

Barry also entertained audiences with Pete Childs . Diamond Jack worked as a duo of Childs and Diamond until Carr went solo as Barry Diamond in the early 1990s.

Famed for his vocal range, Carr continues to excite audiences and is expected to release a new album through Rising Records .
