The Appalachian Brewing Company, commonly known as '''ABC''', is an American Brewery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania . It was founded in January 1997 . Appalachian also operates pubs in Camp Hill and Gettysburg .


VARIETIES

As of 2006, ABC produces seven flagship beers year-round. Of these, the first four varieties are widely available in regional distributors:
  • Water Gap Wheat, an unfiltered wheat Ale served with a lemon slice

  • Purist Pale Ale, a Pale Ale

  • Mountain Lager

  • Jolly Scot Scottish Ale

  • Hoppy Trails IPA

  • Susquehanna Stout

  • Broad Street Barley Wine



The company produces a specialty beer each month. As of July 2007 the lineup is:


The Gettysburg and Camp Hill locations also have specialties:
  • Coconut Porter (Camp Hill)

  • Obbie's Grand Cru, a Belgian-style beer (Gettysburg)

  • Shimmelfenig Smoked Ale (Gettysburg)

  • Tripelocity, a golden Belgian Tripel (Gettysburg)

  • Wildflower Honey Wheat (Camp Hill)



They also produce Sophie's Sparkling Ale during the summer and various Cask Ale s.
