Granofsky, whose mother is Black and whose father is Jewish , is best known as Lucy Fernandez in the '' Degrassi Junior High '' and '' Degrassi High '' series. She also appeared in the series finale Movie , '' School's Out ''. Her Character is injured in a Drunk Driving accident and left partially Blind and unable to walk without a Cane .
