In the U.S., it is regarded as the top song of 1957 . Otis Blackwell composed this song, with compostional additions by Elvis himself, who is also credited as lyricist. It was ranked #352 on Rolling Stone 's list of the 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time . All Shook Up is also the name of a Broadway Musical featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, based on the plot of William Shakespeare 's Twelfth Night . In 1991 the song was covered by Billy Joel for the movie '' Honeymoon In Vegas '' along with other Elvis Presley songs by various artists. The song was covered by Suzi Quatro in the mid-1970s, and by British singer Cliff Richard on his 2001 album, Wanted . It was also covered by Paul McCartney on his album Run Devil Run . The Jeff Beck Group recorded the song on the 1969 Beckola album with Rod Stewart on lead vocals and Ron Wood on bass. The Beatles performed the song during their oldies jams during the Let it Be sessions in 1969. Anson Williams performed the song on the Happy Days TV show in the 1970s.
