Alijo Pérez, Jr. ( March 23 , 1835 - October 19 , 1918 ) was notable as the last living survivor of the Battle Of The Alamo .


BIOGRAPHY

Pérez was the son of Juana Alsbury and her first husband Alejo Pérez, Sr. His mother Juana Navarro Alsbury and stepfather Horace Arlington Alsbury brought him into the Alamo when he was only seventeen days short of his first birthday. He survived the Alamo battle and lived in San Antonio, Texas where he was employed as a Policeman . He married Antonia Rodríguez on December 27 , 1853 , and they had four children. He died on October 19 , 1918 , making him the last known survivor of the Battle of the Alamo.
