Adam Wain Miller (born November 26 , 1984 , in Plano , Texas ), is a right handed Pitcher who is currently a top prospect in the Cleveland Indians organization. He started the 2006 season as a starting pitcher with the Double A Akron Aeros . Miller graduated from McKinney High School in 2003. Miller was selected by the Indians as a sandwich pick (31st overall) in the 2003 Amateur Player Draft . After a strong campaign in 2004 with Lake County and Kinston , elbow problems in 2005 slowed down his rise through the ranks. Miller only managed 15 starts combined between Mahoning Valley and Kinston. Healthy again and rated as the organization's top prospect by Baseball America , Miller's journey toward the big leagues moves on. Miller amasses strikeouts (9.2 per game) with his 92-95 mph four-seam fastball and 84-88 mph slider (both plus pitches), and gets groundball outs with his new, 88-91 mph sinker. He never missed a beat with his command (3.5K/BB) last summer and did a nice job of setting up hitters. - ''Street & Smith's 2007 Baseball Yearbook'' Miller currently is a starter and reliever with the Buffalo Bisons . He enjoys boogie boarding, go-kart racing, and playing board games and card games such as Phase 10 on his off days. EXTERNAL LINKS
