Singapore successfully defended their championship on February 4 after a 1–1 draw with Thailand at Suphachalasai Stadium , winning 3–2 on aggregate. This was preceded by a controversial 2–1 first-leg win at the National Stadium, Singapore , four days earlier.1
This took place in the Philippines between 12 November , 2006 and 20 November , 2006 for the lower-ranked teams in ASEAN. The Philippines and Laos qualified and joined Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Vietnam in the 2007 ASEAN Football Championships from January 12 to February 4 2007 .
