Yunnan cuisine (云南菜; and Chinese Minority cuisines. As the province with the largest number of ethnic minorities, Yunnan has a great variety of food, and it is difficult to make generalisations. It could be argued, however, that Yunnanese food is quite spicy (as compared to Sichuan Cuisine ) and makes greater use of mushrooms than other Chinese Cuisine s.

Famous dishes of Yunnan include:
  • ''boluo fan'' 菠萝饭 (Pineapple rice, found in Xishuangbanna and possibly other Dai areas)

  • ''guo qiao mi xian'' 过桥米线 ('Crossing the bridge' or 'Across the bridge' noodles, found across the province)

  • ''pu'er cha'' 普洱茶 ( Pu'er Tea , traditionally grown in Simao )
