Wisconsin Public Television is a network of non-commercial and non-profit PBS stations that are run by the '''Wisconsin Educational Communications Board''', a state agency, and the '''University of Wisconsin-Extension'''. WECB also manages the state's Public Radio network, Wisconsin Public Radio . Wisconsin Public Television's slogan is ''A place to grow through learning.'' The station's TV flagship is WHA-TV channel 21 (DT-20) in Madison, Wisconsin . They are also Wisconsin 's first public television station, having signed on the air on May 3 , 1954 .
