No ILS, LOC, VOR or NDB/DME approaches available, airport may be used for visual departures/arrivals only (PAPI-lights available for rwys 07 and 14). IFR traffic must remain on Nairobi Approach until visual reference is established.
Wilson Airport is category A approved (according to Kenya AIP). Airport closes afer 17:30 UTC; aircraft arriving later shall divert to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Aircraft departing Wilson to the southeast must remain below 6,500 ft QNH; terrain clearance is not guaranteed throughout the CTR-sector. Aircraft departing in westerly directions must follow the traffic pattern until crossing the threshold of runway 07 at 6300 ft QNH, thereafter below 9000 ft QFE. Avoid overflying "Cabarnet Gardens" (residence of the president) during this departure route or upon approach to runway 14, and the Hospital (cross at 5700ft or above). Jomo Kenyatta Intl. Airport is located northeast of Wilson; do not enter this sector unless clearance has been received. Two CVFR-access lanes are available through this airspace upon request; follow special procedures according to Kenya AIP.
Eastleigh Military Airport is located northwest of Wilson and can be seen when departing on runway 07; Overflying is prohibited.

Runway 07: Immediately after lift-off, but not before crossing intersection of runway 14/32, turn right to avoid residential area. Continue parallel to runway 14 (do not cross) until abeam threshold of rwy 32, climbing to 6500 ft QNH and turn downwind; mandatory radio-call to tower stating intentions (departure route or landing). Continue downwind until reaching mitlitary barracks, turn right base and descend no lower than 6100ft. When visual reference is established to runway 07, call tower for landing clearance. Upon touchdown, vacate runway as soon as practicable ("first left", "backtrack 14" or expedite roll to the end).

Runway 14: As soon as practicable, but not before reaching the end of the airfield and minimum 200ft above ground turn right. Fly parallel to runway 25 until abeam threshold of rwy 07 and climb to 6500 ft QNH. Turn right and enter downwind (mandatory radio-call stating intentions to wilson tower). When crossing the railway line, make a continuous right turn for base leg and descend no lower than 5700 ft. Avoid Cabarnet Gardens to your left (it can be identified by several buildings inside a park) and turn finals when practicable. Do not descend below 5700 until reaching (and do not directly overfly) the Hospital (a distinct tall, brown building). Thereafter, a steep angle of descend may be required for aircraft which need the full runway length.
After landing, either ask for backtrack on runway 14 or continue roll until reaching a taxiway on the right-hand side towards the end of the runway (ask for clearance before crossing rwy 07 in this case).
