Wilbur Scott is a low-budget Filmmaker who has made over 55 Feature-length and Short Film s since 1991 in his native Michigan . A graduate of Central Michigan University , Scott's first film was the short titled ''Ninja Master'', in which a crazed ninja goes around wreaking havoc in the woods. Since that time, his films have focused on mainly Murder-mystery and Science Fiction , and have included such titles as ''The Marksman'' (1991),''Nightshade'' (1994), ''The Cat In The Moon'' (1997), ''I Must Kill'' (2000), ''The Corpse'' (2002), ''Cutting Room Floor'' (2004), and ''A Small Film About A Big Problem'' (2005). While Scott considers his films to be merely "entertainment", some trickles of social commentary do show through in some of his pictures, including what he considers to be the ineffectiveness of the authorities and the crumbling of the traditional family system. His films have played at various festivals across the United States , including the low-key short film festival called FLICKER , where ''The Corpse'' debuted in May 2003. |
