Wells Fargo Center is a building located in Denver , Colorado , United States . The building features a Cash Register or Mailbox type of architecture and, at 698ft, is the third tallest Building in Denver. Designed by renowned architect Philip Johnson and completed in 1983, it is the most recognizable building in downtown Denver. As it was originally designed for a downtown area in Texas, a heated roof is necessary to prevent snow from dangerously sliding off the distinguished curved crown. |
