The Weather Girls were a United States Girl Group (singers Martha Wash and Izora Armstead ) who scored a massive Disco hit with 1983 classic " It's Raining Men ". (The song had been offered to a who's who of female singing legends including Donna Summer , Grace Jones , Diana Ross , Cher , Chaka Khan , Teena Marie , Gloria Gaynor , and even Barbra Streisand before being accepted by Wash and Armstead). They were previously known as '''Two Tons O' Fun''', under which name they recorded the number 2 American Billboard Disco chart hit "Earth Can Be Just Like Heaven" ( 1980 ) and the number 29 American R&B chart hit "Just Us", ( 1980 ).
