Video-painting is a concept developed by souvenirs from the earth, a Paris -based video producer. The video-painting transforms big LCD Screen s into futuristic paintings. Normally this means very slow pictures with few cuts. These images do not have any soundtrack. The video-painting tends to replace the depth and complexity of traditional paintings by depth in sense and complexity in different possible interpretations. These images can come from looped DVD s or over special TV channels or programs. The TV channels presenting video-paintings are pay TV or are financed by sponsors. One of the first attempts to broadcast this kind of video-art is the German TV show "flowmotion", late at night on Frankfurt 's local public channel HR. Later came "Paradise" on the Paris gay TV channel " PinkTV ". |
