Vassallo-Paleologo is a family that stemmed from Milian during the Crusade s and eventually settled at the Byzantine court. From the 12th Century until the Fall Of The Byzantine Empire , they served each Emperor , who confirmed each as Counts of the Empire. After the fall of the Empire, the family slowly moved from Lesbos to Sicily , where they settled.
