Judal . It originally ran as 'Kyuuketsu Yuugi' in Wings Manga Magazine - a monthly manga anthology in Japan and just finished with the November 2004 issue! Centuries ago in an epic battle, King Phelios defeated the Vampire King Duzzel. Using a powerful spell the King destroyed Duzzel but perished as sacrifice for using such a strong spell. As both lay dying, Duzzel swore that he would be reincarnated to find and destroy St. Phelios reincarnation. A hundred years later Duzzel is reborn as a wildcat called a kyawl. Unfortunetly, he can't find Phelios reincarnation. Luckily, he is adopted by his nemesis's great-granddaughter, the 15 year old princess Ishtar, through whom Duzzel may be able to find the reincarnation of Phelios. The fate of the ages is reborn and the vampire game begins.
- Princess Ishtar is only fifteen years old and controls the throne of Pheliosta due to her parent's death earlier in her childhood. Defiant and stubborn, Ishtar gets what she wants and is known for running away and causing trouble. Though loyal to a fault, she often hurt situations more then she helps which Duzzel or Darres has to fix. Ishtar is in love with Darres and is possibly Phelios.
- The dreaded Vampire King. When he was still alive before his battle with Phelios, Duzzel struck fear into every heart, human and vampire alike. He was quite cruel and began "world domination" because he was bored in his immortality. Now in his reincarnation, he has been considerably softened by Ishtar. Though is true form is a kyawl (a cat-like beast) he is able to change into any being he draws blood from. Eventually he becomes strong enough to take on his original vampire form. When in this form, Duzzel masquerades as Ishtar's doctor
- Ishtar's 27 year old bodyguard who has been such since she was a little girl. He is a master swordmans. He often has to chase Ishtar when she runs away or fix things she has screwed up. He is actually quite dense to many things (especially women) and is oblivious to Ishtar's deep love for him.
- Yuujin is actually Ishtar's cousin Yuujel masquerading as her spell tutor. He is known to be quite the ladies' man but actually flirts with Darres.
- Ishtar's hot-tempered widowed aunt and queen of La Naan. Ramis is bent on getting on of her sons on the throne (though none of them are truly eligible) by any means even if it means setting on son against the other. Because she couldn't have her own children she adopted Vord, Laphiji, and Seiliez.
- One of Queen Ramia's sons. Vord would be considered the "heart-throb" of La Naan for his good looks and muscular stature. Vord is actually the son of the king of Razenia. He has a twin, but twins were considered a bad omen. One twin is considered good while the other, evil. Vord was chosen as the evil one. Therefore his family was looking for someone to take him and the King of La Naan was the one to do it.
- Laphiji is the middle son and the quiet one of the three. He is rarely seen with a smile and is often called creepy by several of the other characters. Like Vord, Laphiji was adopted. Being the son of mercenary, his life was just another thing to sell in which the King of La Naan was the purchaser. However, three month later the mercenaries kidnapped him to finish a tribal ritual which is where the mark on his body comes from. This basically means that his body is living magic therefore any ban of magic place on him is inaffective.
- The last and eldest of the three adopted princes of La Naan. It seems that Queen Ramia hates Seiliez because he is the product of an affair between her husband and a prostitute. Seiliez is actually quite gorgeous being the pretty boy that he is and inherited his mother's eye and hair color. In his first appearance in the manga, he is dressed in drag to sneak off in order to see his mother which his mother forbids him to go near.
