During the game Enter The Matrix , you enter The Merovingian s Chateau to get a special key (Made by the Keymaker ) for "The One". It was stolen by Cain and Abel, a Vampire - Werewolf duo. The Merovingian sends swarms of vampires and werewolves to kill you. The werewolves and vampires are from the second version of the matrix (An awful setting of disease, monsters and death), the Merovingian saved their files, and brought them to the new matrix as Exile s. The vampires have special Code , which only allows them to be killed by a wooden stake to the chest (and werewolves only killed by silver). This is means that bullets will do no good against them. The Oracle tells Neo about "vampires, werewolves, and ghosts" just before his ''Burly Brawl'' with Smith . =Origins= The origins of the vampire-like programs, are from the second version of the matrix. The Architect tells Neo that he created the first matrix as a paradise, with no flaws at all. The humans didn't accept this because it was "too perfect". The Architect then made the second matrix, which also resulted in failure because it was a place resembling hell, with disease, plagues, demons, and terror. This is where the vampires come from. They were programs used as a form of control over the humans. In this matrix, there was a program called the Merovingian, who was another form of control over the humans. He was much more powerful then the vampires, ghosts, werewolves and other supernatural beings. SPECULATION It may be possible that the vampires and werewolves were former agents from the second matrix. Another suggestion is that the Merovingian was a program that chose whether to delete a program or put it into exile. This would mean he would get to keep his powers while in exile in the new matrix. This could mean that he has the power to delete programs in lower rank than him. "Abel: He would have deleted me." - Enter the Matrix =Characters= CAIN AND ABEL Cain and Abel are first seen in The Matrix Reloaded , when Persephone brings Morpheus , Trinity , and Neo to the Library in the Merovingian's Chateau. She shoots and kills Abel with a silver bullet. She then tells Cain to tell the Merovingian. "How many people keep a silver bullet in their gun?" Cain is killed by Neo during the fight in the Great Hall. In Enter the Matrix, Cain and Abel steal a special key for the One, which will "open the future" according to the Keymaker. Niobe and Ghost must take back the key before Cain and Abel give it to the Merovingian. Cain and Abel end up losing the key to Ghost or Niobe (depending on who you chose). VLAD Vlad is from Enter the Matrix. He is first seen when Niobe is walking in the Chateau. He is supposedly the leader of the Merovingians vampire exiles. He also resembles a vampire, and takes his name, Vlad, from the infamous Vlad Tepes/Vlad Dracula/Vlad the Impaler. He is most famous for his strategic battle tactic, in which he impaled his enemies with a wooden stake. He is killed when he fights with Niobe for the second time. He, like the rest of the vampires, can only be killed by a wooden stake to the chest or silver (It screws up their code, and deletes them). =See Also= =Notes= The vampire exiles, are not actual vampires, they are programs in the matrix that faced exile. They are only programmed to resemble vampires, and take on the traits of vampires. The same goes for ghosts, werewolves and all other supernatural beings in the matrix. |
