Information About

Valencian Sign Language

Since now, deaf people entities in Valencia, such as FESORD, don't make clear their viewpoint about this question, but it's often called as "''Llengua de Signes en la Comunitat Valenciana''" (Sign Language in Valencian Country), as it's mentioned in didactic material. In adding, Valencian Country is the first Spanish Autonomous Community where sign language receives support in the Statute of Autonomy ( 2006 ) where, in the same way, it doesn't mention wich specific SL is supporting there. In the other hand, nowadays, using LSCV in Valencian Country is limited in personal communication scope, as in administrative tramits, and a very rare presence in media. There are no presence in the most other scopes, such as in the education.
