Utopia Banished is a melodic death metal band from Queens, New York that formed sometime between 1997 and 1998. They were influenced mainly by Swedish death metal by bands such as Amon Amarth, At the Gates, and Dissection. They were also influenced by Opeth and Slayer. They released an album called "Night of the Black Wyvern" in 2002 which can be heard in the Magnatune Radio Station and it was the 1st best selling album of all time of Magnatune in Metal.
