They apply only to journeys to, from or between the eight London Underground Metropolitan Line stations that are outside Greater London in the counties of Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire . The zones and are used in pricing both Travelcards and single journey tickets. The reason that the stations in Zones A-D are not included as part of Zones 1-6 is because the stations are outside of the Greater London area and the local authorities do not provide adequate funding to allow them to be included in Zone 6.
