Tower Hill is an elevated spot outside the Tower Of London and just outside the limits of the City Of London in the London Borough Of Tower Hamlets . Belonging to one of the oldest parts of London , Archeological evidence shows that there was a settling on the hill in the Bronze Age and much later a Roman village that was burnt down during the Boadicea uprising. The church All Hallows-by-the-Tower is renowned for fragments of Romanesque Architecture dating back to the year 680 . Public Execution s of high-profile criminals were carried out on the hill.
