The Tour de Pologne (Tour of Poland ) is a Cycling race. It consists of seven or eight stages, and was first held in 1928. Until 1952, the race was only organised sporadically, but since then there was a Tour every year. Until the early 1990s, the race was strictly for amateurs only, and consequently the winners mostly came from Poland. Although the Tour de Pologne had not yet reached a high status, the international cycling union UCI has decided that it will be a part of the UCI ProTour from 2005, which means that the major cycling teams will compete in this race.
