The creek flows through the Meadowbrook Pond . The pond is visited by migratory birds and an occasional transient Beaver . Early in the 1900's the creek was a spawning ground for salmon including the endangered Chinook Salmon . However the areas surrounding the creek were developed without regard for the importance of maintaining a Riparian corridor and it has now become an urban watershed. For many years part of the stream has run through a Culvert in the Northgate neighborhood and the City of Seattle has decided to "daylight" these areas again. EXTERNAL LINKS
