''The Sword of the Lord'' began publication in Dallas in 1934, moved to Wheaton , Illinois in 1940, and then to its present location in Murfreesboro , Tennessee in 1963. Under the leadership of Hutson and Smith, The Sword of the Lord has become closely associated with and identified with the Independent Baptist movement, and with the King-James-Only Movement . In addition to the newspaper, Sword of the Lord also publishes numerous tracts on various social topics from a fundamentalist perspective.
