TASER International, Inc. () is a developer, manufacturer, and distributor of "less-lethal" (previously marketed as "non-lethal") Electroshock Gun s in the United States . The company was founded by Patrick W. Smith and Thomas P. Smith in 1993 as ICER Corporation. It changed its name to AIR TASER, Inc. later that year.
