Information About

Sunset High School (dallas)

The school is a part of the Dallas Independent School District . It was opened in 1925 as the second high school in the Oak Cliff area; as such, its main rival is Adamson , which is the oldest high school in the Oak Cliff area.

The school serves a portion of Dallas. It will serve a portion of Cockrell Hill starting in the 2006-2007 school year.

The mascot is the Bison (not the Bisons; Bison is both singular and plural); it was chosen since early students had to cross open fields to get to school.
