GEOGRAPHY Sunnyside is located at 39°33'8" North, 110°24'3" West (39.552126, -110.400835). According to the United States Census Bureau , the city has a total area of 8.1 Km&2 (3.1 Mi&2 ). 8.1 km&2 (3.1 mi&2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. DEMOGRAPHICS As of the Census of 2000, there were 404 people, 160 households, and 104 families residing in the city. The Population Density was 49.7/km&2 (128.6/mi&2). There were 183 housing units at an average density of 22.5/km&2 (58.3/mi&2). The racial makeup of the city was 90.84% White , 0.50% African American , 0.00% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 6.93% from Other Races , and 1.73% from two or more races. 20.30% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 160 households out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.1% were Married Couples living together, 3.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 34.4% were non-families. 30.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 3.20. In the city the population was spread out with 26.7% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 24.3% from 25 to 44, 24.0% from 45 to 64, and 17.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 83.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.3 males. The median income for a household in the city was $32,955, and the median income for a family was $36,875. Males had a median income of $39,688 versus $18,333 for females.
