''Student Bodies'' is a 1981 Horror-comedy written and directed by Mickey Rose . ( Michael Ritchie produced the movie, but later took his name off the picture and used the well-worn Pseudonym Alan Smithee instead.) It is a satire of many popular Horror films of the time (i.e. '' Prom Night '', '' Halloween , Friday The 13th , etc.) The movie uses the same type of humor seen in other movies, such as '' Airplane! '' and '' The Naked Gun ''. In one scene, for example, Sign Language is used. Every time somebody dies, an on-screen body count appears. SYPNOSIS ''Student Bodies'' is about a Serial Killer who stalks female students at a High School , while at the same time, Voyeur ing on them as they walk around the school's locker room. The killer's name is "The Breather", because the killer has trouble breathing; therefore, he breathes very hard all the time. "The Breather" enjoys Stalking victims over the telephone, and, much like Jason Voorhees of the '' Friday The 13th '' movies, he hates seeing youngsters having Sex . He usually stabs his victims. It is initially suspected that the school's principal is the killer. While the principal has a killing instinct, that theory was later proven wrong, as he became "body number 12" when he slipped over some Marble s and stabbed himself to Death while trying to attack a student. One of a group of movies directed towards Teenage d audiences during the late 1970s and early 1980s , ''Student Bodies'' had little box office success. Other movies in this group included '' Porky's '', '' Meatballs '', '' Animal House '' and '' Revenge Of The Nerds ''. CAST
