Strawberry Hills is located on land which is rather unsuitable for agricultural purposes. Some of the land had been broken earlier in the 20th century, but by mid-century, it was used primarily for pasturing beef cattle. A portion of the area was originally granted by the Crown to Veterans after the First World War. This is a rather late date for a Crown Grant in the area, and is indicative of the marginal nature of the land. There are presently approximately 30 residences on two quarter- Section s or 1/2 mile square (800 m). Each house is situated on approximately 10 acres (40,000 m²) of land. Strawberry Ridge lies immediately north of Strawberry Hills. |
