HISTORY

Starbuck was officially incorporated on September 18 , 1905 .


GEOGRAPHY

Starbuck is located at 46°31'7" North, 118°7'36" West (46.518676, -118.126764).

According to the United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 0.5 Km&2 (0.2 Mi&2 ). 0.5 km&2 (0.2 mi&2) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.


DEMOGRAPHICS

As of the Census of 2000, there were 130 people, 65 households, and 39 families residing in the town. The Population Density was 251.0/km&2 (639.6/mi&2). There were 86 housing units at an average density of 166.0/km&2 (423.1/mi&2). The racial makeup of the town was 98.46% White , 0.00% African American , 0.77% Native American , 0.00% Asian , 0.00% Pacific Islander , 0.00% from Other Races , and 0.77% from two or more races. 2.31% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 65 households out of which 13.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.7% were Married Couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.5% were non-families. 35.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.00 and the average family size was 2.45.

In the town the population was spread out with 14.6% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 23.8% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 28.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 50 years. For every 100 females there were 106.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 109.4 males.
