A special can be a Television Program that is designated by a Television Network as being particularly noteworthy or unique. Whether the viewing audience considers the program to be ''special'' is another matter, and it is not uncommon for a network to use the term special in order to hype what would otherwise be a little watched program. Special is also often used as a synonym for Sale , especially rotating daily sales on one paticular item in restaurants and department stores.
