The school's Southwestern Warriors (as they are called) play many sports. The football and basketball teams are usually some of the best in the area. Recently, the soccer team has made it to the state Final Four. In this past year, the boy's basketball team won the district title defeating mccreary central and wayne county. In the regional, the team defeated Lincoln County, and East Jessamine before falling to Boyle County in the finals 67-51.
